"Having an environmental background, I feel somehow atypical in the audiovisual sector.” After working as an environmental scientist and policy expert for a federation of reuse companies, I have been active as sustainability coordinator at the Flanders Audiovisual Fund since March 2017. As a sustainability expert I work with all kinds of film and media productions, but I also raise awareness at other related areas like physical cinemas, storytelling, games, animation and in education. I use the Sustainable Development Goals as a moral compass for my work and focus on environmental, social and governance aspects within the audiovisual industry. At EU level I have been active within Green Screen (and EURECA), Eurimages, Cineregio and EFAD sustainability working groups.
