Nuno Soler

Profession: Script Consultant Trainee
Profession: Script Consultant Trainee
Country: Portugal

Nuno Soler writes about misfits and outsiders, all the people who don't fit the stories their own cultures tell about them. Born in Lisbon, trained at Vancouver Film School, now based in Berlin, he's spent his career moving between languages, countries, and narrative traditions. His first feature, Wolf Child, was nominated for the Méliès d'Argent Award for Best European Feature. His anthology series Lusitânia earned a nomination for Best European Script at the Geneva International Film Festival. Both projects explore the same question: what happens when identity fractures under pressure? A graduate of Creative Europe's Serial Eyes program, Nuno continues to develop original work across film, television, and digital platforms. He builds narratives around contradictions, the tensions that can sustain a series across multiple seasons or drive a feature to its breaking point. He's drawn to genre - horror, myth, folklore - not for spectacle but for what it reveals about human darkness. His work asks: What monsters do we create? What do we become when we're displaced, erased, or forced to choose between versions of ourselves?
