Born in 1994. Since childhood Matas had a dream to become medical doctor, but after studying medicine for one year he realised that his initial dream was incorrect, so was he. As he always loved writing, he decided to study screenwriting. Matas has recently finished bachelor's degree in Screenwriting at Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy. During second years of studying, he started to actively work in the film and theatre industry. He has written several short films and feature movie scripts that were produced. He is also a playwright. His debut play has been nominated for the National Golden Stage Cross award in dramaturgy (the highest Lithuanian theatre award).
