Mark Dzamastagic
Mark Džamastagič (1991) is a Slovenian screenwriter completing his MA in Screenwriting at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, University of Ljubljana (AGRFT). His film Profesionalna Amaterja, for which he wrote the screenplay and also performed, received a Special Jury Mention at the Festival of Independent Film in Ljubljana in 2022. After completing the JSKD Film Seminar in 2022, he worked for two years as an Assistant Director at RTV Slovenia. With a background in comedy, theatrical improvisation and stand-up, his work includes the mini-series Gozdna (2020) and the mid-length film Sladka 40ta (2021). He is currently developing a series as part of his MA studies, writing a comedy series for POP TV, and developing a children’s TV project with director Klemen Dvornik. He is also preparing his directorial debut, the short film Nisem celo življenje šparala, da bom na stara leta preplačala fasado (I Didn’t Save My Whole Life to Overpay for a Façade in My Old Age).
