Joana Vilapuig (1994) is a Catalan actress, creator, and screenwriter based in Barcelona. Her first television role was as the lead in the series Polseres Vermelles, directed by Pau Freixas, when she was 15 years old. Since then, she has continued her career as an actress, participating in projects such as L’artèria Invisible, Palm Trees in the Snow, My First Highway, and Cuéntame. She cowrote and acted in the film El Sitio de Otto, and has worked in theatre with Andrés Lima in The Crucible, Oh Mami by Nico and Sunset and Juana de arco with Marta Pazos as Juana.

Most recently, she premiered the series Selftape (2023), directed by Bàrbara Farré and produced by Filmax and Filmin, in which she was one of the screenwriters, executive producers, and lead actresses, alongside her sister Mireia Vilapuig. Selftape participated in the international market in Berlin in February and had its world premiere at the Málaga Film Festival. It was also presented at the D’A Film Festival in Barcelona and officially selected by Seriencamp in Cologne. The series received the award for Best Breakthrough Performances from Cinemanía, and was nominated for Best Drama Series at the 2024 Feroz Awards.
