Jan Klemsche was born in 1989 in Virovitica where he finished elementary and high school education. In 2008 he enrolled the BA study of film editing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. At the moment he is an MA student at the same Academy. Throughout his studies he has edited numerous student films, but he also worked on many commercial projects, ranging from documentaries to music videos. He has also hosted several editing workshops at KinoKlub Zagreb and dr. Ante Peterlić Media School.
