Born and raised in Germany to Afghan and Czech-German-Jewish parents.
Graduate of FAMU, the Film and Television School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. Over 20 years experience as a director and producer of award-winning documentaries, music videos and commercials throughout Europe and the Middle East. In addition to his commercial work, his films focus primarily on youth culture and social issues. His films have won multiple awards and were screened at over 100 international film festivals, including the Warsaw Film Festival, RIDM Montreal, DOXA Vancouver, Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, Istanbul IFF, Dubai International Film Festival, Bergen IFF, CPH:DOX Copenhagen, Filmfest Munich, Festival du Rio, Oaxaca Filmfest, Raindance Film Festival (London), Cleveland International Film Festival, Margaret Mead Film Festival NYC, and many more.
