Christina Liapi received her BA in Communication and Media from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She continued her studies at the University of Glasgow, where she majored in European Cinema and Film Journalism, graduating
with distinction. Following her studies, she gained professional experience filling
different roles at film festivals in Athens (Athens International Film Festival and Athens Ethnographic Film Festival) and working as a film journalist for the Greek film
magazine, CINEMA, and as editor-in-chief of its website. She also worked as press
office coordinator at one of the biggest distribution companies in Greece, ODEON,
promoting theatrical releases and the company’s cinema chain in close collaboration
with the marketing department. In November 2016, she joined Athens-based boutique sales agency Heretic Outreach, where she currently handles marketing
activities and festivals, and collaborates with Heretic Asterisk as a marketing
consultant. In 2017, she participated in the EAVE Marketing Workshop and the
Thessaloniki-Locarno Industry Academy International programme.
