Director and a graduate of Film Studies and Journalism at Palacký University. He works primarily in directing commercials, where he has received several significant local awards (ADC Czech Awards in the Film Craft category, Zlatý ohníček for Personality of Czech Creativity) as well as international recognition (Cannes Lions, D&AD Festival, Clio, Epica Awards, Ciclope Festival). In this field, he is represented not only by the Czech production company Bistro Films, but also in the USA, the UK, Germany, and France. He has also maintained a long-term collaboration with the non-profit organisation Post Bellum, for which he produces annual campaigns. Smearhead marks his transition from award-winning commercial work into ambitious auteur cinema.
