Sona studied Film Studies and Audiovisual Culture at Masaryk University and attended several internships during her studies, including Stillking Films (Snowpiercer, dir. Bong Joon-ho) and Czech Television. She worked as a news reporter and film reviewer and was a manager of an open-air cinema in Brno. She also collaborated with several Czech film festivals (IDFF Jihlava, Summer Film School Uherske Hradiste, ISFF Brno 16) and the Museum of Romani Culture. After moving to Prague in 2015, she started to work in a casting agency on several international projects such as Underworld: Blood Wars (dir. Anna Foerster), The Death & Life of John F. Donovan (dir. Xavier Dolan) and Ophelia (dir. Claire McCarthy), or TV series Britannia (Sky Atlantic) and Knightfall (History). She joined MIDPOINT Institute in July 2017.
