Kristýna has been a part of the MIDPOINT team since 2014. A graduate of Charles University’s Faculty of Social Sciences, her background is in journalism and the festival circuit, including a long-term tenure with the Karlovy Vary IFF Festival Daily and the Vltava-Labe-Press.
In addition to her work at MIDPOINT, she was a frequent collaborator with Czech film festivals—such as Febiofest, the Summer Film School UH, and the Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival—as a catalogue author. She has also worked as a reader for the Czech Television Film Center.
Having worked in PR and production at MIDPOINT, she now focuses on program coordination for Editing Room, Focus CZ, and Intensive programs. Throughout all her different roles at the Institute, what she enjoys and appreciates the most is the opportunity to meet creative people from all over the globe and help them reach their goals. This is especially true for the MIDPOINT Homecoming alumni reunion, an event she puts her heart into to keep the community connected.
