In a world where a virus forces survivors to physically feel and hear the thoughts of others, an immune detective Riiv investigates the murder of a silencer chip creator. Partnered with Lis, a rookie cop and a closeted empath, he hunts the prime suspect, Davis, the victim’s brother. But when he learns Davis carries a prototype capable of waking his comatose wife, Riiv goes rogue. To save her, he must protect the fugitive from the system he swore to uphold.
