Marek Cermak
Marek Čermák is a Czech director, screenwriter, and narrative designer. He studied Theatre and Film Studies at Palacký University in Olomouc and Directing at FAMU in Prague. He worked as Agnieszka Holland’s personal assistant and post-production coordinator on Charlatan (2018–2020). Since 2020, he has been Lead Narrative Designer and VO Director at Warhorse Studios. In 2021, he co-founded the production company Films & Chips. He collaborates with Czech Television, Karlovy Vary IFF, Pragueshorts, and Creative Europe MEDIA as a script expert and evaluator. Marek is an alumnus of MIDPOINT Feature Launch, Less Is More, IFF Zurich Industry Academy, Talents Nest Vilnius, and Berlinale Talents. He also lectures on contemporary festival cinema. He is a member of the European Film Academy, FIPRESCI, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
