György is a Hungarian writer and story editor. He was a story addict from an early age, so he was fortunate to end up at the University of Theater and Film Arts in Budapest. Since 2011, he has worked for HBO Europe and has written 32 original episodes (In Treatment, When Shall We Kiss, Veneer). His short film Youniverse premiered on HBO Max in 2020. Beyond television, György has worked as a dramaturg, playwright, and translator on more than 80 theatre productions. He works as a mentor and story editor for some of Europe’s leading TV development programs, including TorinoFilmLab SeriesLab, Serial Eyes, and MIDPOINT. He is also the creator of the 7+7 Method, a development framework for TV series, and regularly gives workshops and masterclasses across Europe on different aspects of contemporary television writing. His book on the 7+7 Method is coming out in early 2027.
