Barbora Námerová is a Slovak screenwriter and story editor working in film and television. She is a graduate of FAMU Prague (Screenwriting and Story Editing) and an alumna of Serial Eyes (DFFB) as well as multiple MIDPOINT launches. Her debut feature Filthy (dir. Tereza Nvotová) premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam and won the Czech Film Critics Award for Best Film 2017. In 2022, she co-wrote Nightsiren, which won the Golden Leopard at the Locarno Film Festival and the Méliès d'Argent at Sitges. She later collaborated with Nvotová as a dramaturg on Father, presented at the Venice Film Festival in 2025.
Barbora is the headwriter of the six-episode drama series Monyová (dir. Zuzana Kirchnerová, ONEPLAY), which won the main prize at Serial Killer festival and screened at the Berlinale Series Market Selects 2026. She was selected for the Cannes Series Writers Club in 2025 and is currently developing the historical series Red Princess (Moloko Film) and co-writing the features Spirit Hunter (dir. Tomáš Klein) and Happy End (dir. Ondřej Erban).
