MIDPOINT Institute has always been at the forefront of talent growth, so now we are introducing a new program structure to better serve projects at different stages of their journey!

The new Series Launch: Essentials focuses on early-stage development, providing a robust foundation for writers and producers. This will be followed in 2027 by the Series Launch: Accelerator, a program specifically tailored for projects in late-stage development.

This two-tier system ensures that selected projects receive the exact level of mentorship it requires to succeed internationally.

The Essentials Experience

Series Launch: Essentials is a professional project and skills development program open to creators globally, with a strategic focus on European co-productions. Our mission is to empower writing teams and producers to navigate the development process constructively, facilitating their entry into the professional marketplace through international collaboration and high-level networking.

Innovative Multi-Stage Selection

To support a wider pool of emerging talent, we have implemented a multi-stage selection process:

1. The Shortlist: 15–20 projects will be selected for an Online Feedback Session, receiving a detailed assessment from a professional script consultant.

2. The Final 9: Based on these consultations, 9 projects will be invited to complete the full program, including residential workshops and a final project showcase.

 Call for Script Consultant Trainees

The development of our projects serves as a live platform for our Script Consultant Training. We are seeking aspiring script consultants, commissioning editors, development executives, and creative producers who wish to master the art of script consultancy.

Trainees work directly within the project groups, mentored by internationally renowned tutors, gaining the communication and feedback skills necessary to guide writers through the complexities of drama series development.

Program Schedule

• Preparatory Seminar for Script Consultant Trainees: mid June, 2026 (2 days) / online
• Workshop 1: June 23-30, 2026 (6 workshop days) / Prague, Czech Republic
• Online Consultations: July-August, 2026 (2x) / online
• Workshop 2: end of September 2026 (5 workshop days) / Brno, Czech Republic, in collaboration with Serial Killer – International Festival of TV and Web Series

Participation Fees

• Online Feedback Session: 100 EUR per project (shortlisted projects only).

• Full Program (Projects): 1.400 EUR per participant (includes accommodation and board; travel not included).

• Script Consultant Trainees: 1.400 EUR for the full program.

• Installment plans are available.
