RUKUM MAIKOT

In Zagreb, 2026 the Nepali community is getting bigger every day. Most men work as delivery drivers, buzzing around town on their beaten down scooters, day and night, their features hidden by their helmets and their struggles hidden by their silence.
While her brother SAMIR (19) is sick, SAGITA (18) secretly takes over his delivery job, hiding her identity under his BLUE HELMET. As she rides through the streets of Zagreb, she does her best to avoid SUMAN (23), a fellow delivery driver known by his RED HELMET. Whenever Suman sees the BLUE HELMET, he believes it is Samir underneath, unaware that it is actually Sagita.
When SUMAN spots the BLUE HELMET, a scooter chase begins, ending with him crashing and getting hurt. Without revealing her identity, SAGITA takes him to the hospital.
On the drive back to town, SUMAN hugs SAGITA lovingly. Still thinking she is SAMIR, he tells her how much their kiss meant to him.
They part ways in silence, SAGITA realizing the depth of her brother SAMIR’s internal struggle. Even this far from home.
