PRIMO

After the death of his father, CARLOS (29) is left to care for his grieving mother ROSA (60) and keep their failing family kiosk alive. While Rosa clings to the kiosk to preserve her husband’s memory, Carlos resents his father for the financial mess he left behind. On the night of his father’s birthday, Carlos finds a foreclosure notice. They have to pay €18,000 in two weeks or they lose the kiosk. Out of options, he turns to his criminal cousin PRIMO (37), who suggests burning the kiosk for insurance. Carlos refuses, and instead tries to force Rosa to sell, sparking a fight that changes their relationship. Desperate, Carlos tries to burn the kiosk - but Primo steps in, says he’ll take care of it and sends Carlos to have dinner with Rosa. There she agrees to sell, just as Carlos believes the kiosk is burning. But Primo comes with a surprise: The kiosk is filled with friends and family for one last celebration. Carlos finally allows himself to mourn his father, surrounded by the people he loves.
