As Kabul falls to the Taliban, a fearless Afghan dancer and a hollowed-out Delhi journalist forge an unlikely friendship fierce enough to defy the oppressive regime.
Inspired by true events, “A Dance Like This…” follows the lives and friendship of Riya, a cultural journalist from India, and Tooba, a university student from Afghanistan, who has founded the all-girls Mursal Dance Group in Kabul. Riya’s reporting on Tooba and the dance troupe wins the Mursal Girls an invitation at the International Dance Competition, Delhi. But the return of Taliban slams every door shut for them, turning dance into a
forbidden act of resistance. What survives is a bond across borders, and a fight neither woman will abandon.
