Ondřej Lukeš (b. 1991) worked as a stagehand, construction worker, and call centre operator before enrolling at the Department of Production at FAMU in 2018. His producing debut, Brutal Heat, premiered at KVIFF 2023, where it received a Special Jury Mention in the Proxima section.
In 2022, he started Beginner's Mind, under which he producer The Other Side of Summer (dir. Vojtěch Strakatý, premiered at KVIFF 2025) and Urban Disobedience Toolkit (dir. Vladimír Turner, One World 2025).
He has pitched projects at international industry platforms such as Connecting Cottbus (awarded with MIDPOINT Consulting award), Sofia Meetings, KVIFF Works in Progress and has participated in industry programs including EAVE, MIDPOINT Feature Launch, Rotterdam Lab, WEMW E&W Co-production Lab, First Cut Lab, First Cut+, Move It On, goEast, and D‘A Film Lab Barcelona.
