Marios Mettis is a Cypriot director and actor with over 20 years of experience in theatre, now expanding into film directing. He directed his first short film, Muttertändelei, in 2019. His second short, Tsikitigklon the Fairy and the Man, received several awards, including Best National Short Film at ISFFC and Best International Film at the Roosevelt Island FF. He is currently developing his first feature film, Natura, through MIDPOINT Feature Launch. In 2023, his direction of Lysistrata for the National Theatre of Cyprus became the highest-selling production in the theatre’s history. He trained as an actor at the National Theatre of Greece Drama School and as a director at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.
