A Polish-born author and screenwriter, Aleksandra works internationally in Polish and English. Alumna of the 2025 Netflix/New Horizons ‘Women Screenwriters on the Horizon’ programme and the 2022 Torino TFL Next Workshop, she was awarded writers’ residencies at Villa Sarkia in Finland and Trelex Residency in Switzerland.
Her work, exploring cultural fluidity and clashes of power, was shortlisted for the VAULT New Writers Programme and the Evening Standard Stories Competition, in association with Netflix. She is currently working on her directorial debut, a mystery thriller ‘The Portraitist’, which was selected for the 2025 WARSAW NEXT! Workshop. In 2019, she received a PhD in comparative literature from University College London.
