Two Programs, One Shared Journey

Both Feature Launch and Focus Queer are tailored to filmmakers eager to shape the future of cinema. In 2026, the two programs will partially overlap, creating space for shared expertise, joint networking, and stronger industry visibility.

• MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2026 supports writers, directors, and producers in developing their first or second feature film, offering comprehensive training, industry exposure, and award opportunities.

• MIDPOINT Focus Queer 2026 is dedicated to feature film projects with LGBTQ+ focus, providing a supportive platform for diverse voices and stories that deserve international reach.

Queer projects are welcome to apply to both programs. However, if your project would benefit most from a dedicated queer cohort, Focus Queer is the recommended choice.

MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2026

• Three residential workshops, online consultations, and continuous feedback

MIDPOINT Focus Queer 2026

• ✺ Creative Development – work closely with industry professionals on script and project development

• ✺ Presentation & Promotion Skills – sharpen your ability to present and promote your project

• ✺ Financing & Co-production Opportunities – gain access to financing channels and co-production networks

• ✺ Pitching & Networking – present your project at the prestigious Karlovy Vary IFF

• Award opportunity: eligibility for the Eurimages Co-production Development Award (€20,000)

Global eligibility
Both programs are open worldwide. Projects from outside Europe are welcome, provided they demonstrate an intention to co-produce with a European country.
