A Stone in a Shoe

I have been living in Prague for four years, raising my daughter Dunja while struggling to build a career in architecture. Life seemed to find balance when I married Harun, a crane operator who loves us deeply. But in my family, joy is always tied to a stone in the shoe, a reminder that happiness is fragile. After my mother’s sudden death, I return to Belgrade with Dunja, facing the responsibility of caring for my father and my sister Ranka, who has special needs. Meanwhile, in Prague, Harun is left alone. His best friend Martin becomes paralyzed after an accident and manipulates Harun into helping him end his life. Distance and silence grow between us, and my own coldness pushes Harun further into despair. When Dunja and I return to Prague, she believes she sees him on a swing in the playground. I follow, unsure of what awaits us, carrying the weight of the stone in my shoe.
