Alexandra joined the MIDPOINT Institute’s team in 2021. She is a consultant for the series programs and a program coordinator for Focus Young Adults, Writers’ Room, and on-demand workshops for Banijay and other external partners.
She is the co-founder of Disco Sailing, an agency specializing in the festival distribution of Slovak films, helping them find the right positioning on the international market. Occasionally, she also works as a journalist and curator, and she regularly collaborates on the selection of Asian films for the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
A graduate of Audiovisual Studies at the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, Alexandra worked as the head of the faculty’s Festival Department from 2016 to 2021. Since 2020, she has been teaching the course Festival Strategies at the same faculty.
