Looking back at the past year, we see an inspiring journey shared with our participants and partners. From the first workshops in March to the final presentations in Karlovy Vary or activities withi Finále Plzeň, we have watched as sustainability transitioned from an abstract concept into a practical creative tool within our Feature Launch, Series Launch, and Focus CZ programs.
For us, it wasn’t just about technical checklists or calculators, but about finding new ways to tell stories in a changing world.
One of the milestones was the autumn industry panel at the Finále Plzeň Film Festival, organized in partnership with the Sustainable Audiovisual Platform (PUAV). It showed that connecting environmental themes directly to the script is not a limitation, but rather an opportunity to strengthen a narrative and prepare projects for the demands of today’s international market.
For us, 2025 was primarily about learning and sharing experiences. The fact that our alumni are already organically incorporating sustainability into their scripts and production plans is incredibly encouraging.
We see it as the first steps in a long-term approach within the CEE region and beyond.
