Intensive script development workshop for Icelandic film professionals.
For the second year in a row, Pavel Jech, the dean of FAMU (the Czech national film school) and the head of studies of the MIDPOINT International Script Development Program conducted a script development workshop during the Stockfish Film Festival in Reykjavík (February 18 – 28, 2016).
This year Pavel was joined by producer tutor Jan Maxa (Czech Television).
The workshop is intended for first and second features currently in development. Four projects were selected by a committee consisting of representatives from Iceland’s professional filmmakers guilds and MIDPOINT. Each participating project should be represented by one writer (or writer/director) and one producer.

Using their experience as educators and film professionals in Central and Eastern Europe (and elsewhere), Pavel Jech and
Jan Maxa discuss the practice of story development, the relationship between the creatives and the producers, and how to
work efficiently with writers to nurture content and bring it to the big and small screens.
