Katarina has been working in film since 2004, starting off as a film critic, production assistant in commercials and film, as well as film-oriented PR. During 2009 – 2015, she was working for the Slovak Film Institute focusing on international promotion of Slovak cinema.
Since 2015, she has produced and collborated at a number of fiction and documentary films acclaimed at the festival circuit: 5 October (2016) by Martin Kollar (Rotterdam IFF), Nina (2017) by Juraj Lehotsky (Karlovy Vary IFF & TIFF), Hotel Sunrise (2016) by Maria Rumanova (IDFA), Silent Days (2019) by Pavol Pekarcik (Karlovy Vary IFF & Marrakech IFF), The Sound Is Innocent (2019) by Johana Ozvold (Visions du Reel) or Servants (2020) by Ivan Ostrochovsky (Berlinale Encounters). At the moment, her two projects – Censor by Peter Kerekes and Applause by Juraj Lehotsky are in post-proudction.
She is also programming series workshops for the MIDPOINT Institute based in Prague, and is a SOFA and EAVE Producers Workshop graduate.
