After graduating in film studies from the Silesian University in Katowice, Joanna worked as a lecturer in the Film and Media Studies Department. During this period, she was a co-owner of BooBoo Films company. In 2008, she enrolled in the postgraduate studies at the Polish National Film School in Lodz (PWSFTviT) in the Production Department. During her studies, she produced 12 films as a production manager. She cooperated with Piotr Zlotorowicz documentary “Smolarze” (Charocoal Burners). In 2011, during the Berlinale Festival took place the world premiere of the Slovakian - Czech film by Zuzana Lilova “Dom” (The House), where she worked as an executive producer on the side of Poland. Joanna co-supervised the industry events of the REGIOFUN International Film Festival (2011), she has been co-operating with Era Nowe Horyzonty festival since 2005. She is also the owner of Bamako company. Since October 2011, she has been a student in a course for creative producers at Wajda School, Warsaw.
