GREGORY and KATE (50-ish) have wildly different marriage-saving ideas. When IVF fails, their best friend MARTA (49) —Gregory's ex and a once-celebrated filmmaker—volunteers her frozen eggs with spectacularly misguided generosity. A secret donor. Gregory has no clue. A year on: there's baby ZEUS, Gregory's sold everything for a catamaran, and everyone's barely functioning. Shattered new parents, skint Marta, and her boyfriend MARTIN (52)—fresh from his South American sustainable farming disaster—attempt life afloat. A maiden voyage to Bloody Bay promises salvation until Gregory is seasick, the boat crash strands them in a tourist trap marina and the secret detonates.
A quartet of alleged adults navigates partnership, parenthood, and fading dreams—dropped into deeper waters—literally and figuratively—with zero refunds on their life choices.
