Marie-Gabrielle Peaucelle

Profession:
Country: France

Marie-Gabrielle Peaucelle is a French producer and script consultant based in Paris.

She started her career in the film industry as an assistant producer at Manchester Films. For seven years she was the right-hand woman of Catherine Bozorgan and worked with one of France’s most recognized writer-directors, Albert Dupontel, whose work has been recognized with 14 César awards (including Best Film, Best Director, Best screenplay) and were big hits at the French box-office.

Eager for new adventures and driven by the desire to discover new voices and talents, she cofounded her own production company in Paris, Les Films de Juillet, with Greek producer Kyveli Short. Their first production, Konstantina Kotzamani’s medium-length film, What Mary Didn’t Know premiered in Locarno IFF – Pardi di Domani in 2024. The film has since been screened and awarded in several festivals (Best fiction film at Curtas Vila do Conde, Best director at Drama, Young audience award in Brive) and has received the Best short film award from the Hellenic Film Academy in 2025.

Their second short film, Hopepunk, coproduced with Homemade Films (GR) premiered in 2025 at BFI Flare.

They are currently in post-production of the upcoming short films from Stavros Markoulakis, Savvas Stavrou and Léonard Philippe, as well as in development of several short and feature films, several of which are international coproductions.

In parallel, Marie-Gabrielle works as a script consultant, trained through MIDPOINT Feature Launch (2024), TFL ScriptLab (2024) and Kids Kino Lab (2020). Her credits as a script consultant include films like To a Land Unknown (2024) by Mahdi Fleifel (Cannes IFF - Directors’ Fortnight), Arcadia (2024) by Yorgos Zois (Berlinale - Encounters), Animal (2023) by Sophia Exarchou (Locarno IFF – Pardo for Best Performance, Thessaloniki IFF – Golden Alexander). She is the story editor of Konstantina Kotzamani’s upcoming feature Titanic Ocean (in post-production). She’s a reader for the CNC’s Aide aux Cinémas du Monde, since 2021.
