Lotte Laitinen is a Helsinki-based script consultant, dramaturge and director. She holds a BA in Film & TV from Metropolia UAS, graduating as a screenwriter in 2022. Her thesis short Record
Store won the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the Helsinki International Film Festival the same year. After an internship at Helsinki Filmi and Aurora Studios, she continued there as a
dramaturge and script consultant, working in funding, development and distribution. Freelancing from 2024, Lotte has primarily consulted for the private equity fund Finnish Impact Film Fund, and since 2025 works as an in-house dramaturge for Good Hand Film & TV. In 2025, she served a second year as a jury member and script mentor for the TV Beats co-financing market at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Alongside consulting, she volunteers at IDA Radio and moves dancers as a DJ with her club collective. This spring, she prepares to direct her next short film with financing from YLE Finnish Broadcasting Company.
